Born and brought up in Shanghai, I came to Hong Kong after high school. I studied Economics and Finance at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, during which I had the chance to take an internship in Citibank in Shanghai, participate in the Beijing Olympics as a volunteer, have an exchange study in the US and take part in many other exciting activities in Hong Kong.
I joined OC&C in Hong Kong as a full-time associate consultant after working as an intern for one year. During the one year of internship, I got a flavor of different industries working with colleagues on various projects, ranging from FMCG, retail, construction, wine and spirits and so on. I found that not only I like the job of strategy consultancy, but also the industries that OC&C is specialized in.
OC&C Greater China offers very good opportunities to develop. We always work closely together. Everyone is given immediate responsibility on the projects and can pick up skills very quickly. My first project is to work for an FMCG company in Vietnam, aiming to help them understand the dynamics of the latest market development and decide where and how they should play in the future to grow three times its current size in five years. Our team works hard during weekdays and spends the weekends touring around in this fast developing country. The enthusiasm both in work and life of OC&C consultants is also one important reason why I like this job.
